Restaurant Wooden Chairs
A restaurant’s décor has a lot to live up to. On one hand it has to be appealing and pleasing to its guests, provide them with comfort and yet be durable and sturdy. Of all the furniture that is at stake of judgement by the hosts and guests, chairs feature at the top of the list. They have to provide comfortable seating and at the same time be easy on the pocket of the owner. In the restaurant business, it would not be profitable have to keep replacing chairs frequently. It is a sad but true fact that in many restaurants, chairs have to bear a load of abuse from the patrons. Expertly crafted wooden chairs of high-quality can be a solution to this. Wooden restaurant chairs have to be carefully selected to have utmost style, great strength and impressive durability to make ideal restaurant furniture.
Restaurant wooden chairs can be found in both traditional and contemporary styles. Whilst keeping the styles in mind, manufacturers pay special attention to the strength and durability of the product to address the needs of their customer base. Many companies offer a variety of ideas and concepts around these wooden chairs for restaurants by offering solutions like contract furniture as a replacement to buying and owning them. A contract wooden chair for restaurants appears to be a viable commercial proposition for this tough, hardwearing demand.
Restaurants have to adhere to certain safety standards with their wooden chairs as well. For commercial grades of chairs, The “Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association” (BIFMA) has the following testing specifications as per BIFMA X5.1
* back strength of the chair to be around 150 pounds (68 kg)
* retaining stability if the weight is completely transferred to the back or front
* a leg strength of approximately 75 pounds (34 kg) when applied about one inch (25 mm) from below the seat
* strength of the seat of around 225 pounds (102 kg) dropped about six inches (150 mm) from over the seat
* strength of the seat cycle of 100,000 repetitions, each of 125 pounds (57 kg) put in from about 2 inches (50 mm) over the seat
The above testing specifications further define graver "proof" loads, which these chairs should be able to withstand. In case of the more heavy loads, these chairs can be expected to be damaged, however they cannot fail catastrophically.
Since guests to the restaurant cannot be chosen, it is prudent to be well prepared for the best and worst scenarios.
